We welcomed 5 visiting OKs who’d come to practise today, joined by Chris Turner on the water. One of them, Nigel King pictured here, is joining the club having moved to Axminster from the New Forest. He decided to do a ‘hop west’ and fancied Lyme for his sailing. He also sails a Phantom and Took part in the Nationals last year.
Two others, from S Staffs, Ed and Andy, travelled quite a way..
They were joined by Nick Craig from Burfield and Richard Burton, the Association Chair, who lives in Sidmouth. The northerlies gave them a good sail until the wind died just before lunchtime. We expect more OKs coming to practise here before the Worlds and have arrangements in place for a small contribution to the club for a day with us.
