Sally is stepping down as Hon Sec after long service in the role for the club, but remaining as Youth Coordinator and Flag Captain.
Her last of many Commodores, David Meehan thanked Sally on behalf of the club and presented her with a bouquet and chocolates.
This is a welcome change for Sally who has been keen to have time to concentrate on her other roles for the club, including local harbour liaison, as well as her other interests.
‘I’ve been happy to do all I can for the members of the club, even through some challenging periods, now it’s time for a change! I understand there will be a different focus to the Hon Sec role and I wish my successor a rewarding time and every support.
‘Thank you to all my Commodores and officers, committee members and the many individuals I have worked with and who’ve helped me over the years. The club is in a vibrant period and it has a great future.
‘I’ll still be around in the club race office and working with our great youth training teams, just not facing all the admin and official work. I’ll have time to stop and chat, maybe, ‘ said Sally, with a smile!
