After two weeks when the gusts and off- shore winds were near the limit of sailable for our groups, last Tuesday was just right. Still gusts, still tricky, but less strong winds and a flat sea. All were able to follow their training programmes, just a couple of capsizes, everyone returned once again smiling and enthusiastic. Elliot had his Fusions in a tight group, Jim had a chance to photograph the Picos. And he got our New Laser (ILCA) group, all Helpers tacking bigger, faster dinghies which they own. All are using the ILCA 4 rig, learning how to sail the boat on all legs, using the more complicated sail controls, coached by Josh and Noah. Meanwhile, Tom took on coaching Niamh and improving her technique, joined by Josie who regularly sails in club races. You can work out who’s who in the photos. New ILCA group photos to follow.
