Our training session turned out to be more challenging than the forecast due to extra strong gusty surprises. But all our young sailors did amazingly well – no one in the least put off, all enjoyed the challenges, no injuries, no breakages! Our coaches and Rib crews kept busy, loads of capsizes, well managed. Some drifting down wind and struggles to sail upwind, but the group got themselves sorted when herded by the Ribs back to the designated area. The new Laser sailors had another tough test, more focus on controls will follow next week. Our less extrovert youths surprised us with how they coped, they’ve learned a lot over the short season so far. All signed out with an eager ‘see you next week’!!
