Update and Early warning for all mooring holders!

Part of our preparations involves letting harbour users and local businesses know about the OK Worlds and seeing that we keep everyone on board to help things run smoothly.
Our Harbourmaster is about to circulate mooring holders and will include this note from us. We will follow up at the Harbour Consultative Group later this month. We have excellent support from Dorset Harbours’ Committee Chair, Cllr Mark Roberts, our own harbour staff, our HCG Chair Nick Marks is part of our team, and Vice Chair Steve Postles has offered the Fishing College as a base for our 6 International Jurors.
‘Lyme Regis Sailing Club are to host the OK class World Championships from 22nd to 30th June 2023. This will involve over 100 dinghies racing in the bay, in the area you are used to us using for championships. It will bring many international visitors to Lyme with their families, enhancing our harbour’s reputation in countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Sweden and Germany.
While there will be some disruption to use of the slipway, and times when launching and recovery of the fleet may cause a slight inconvenience to you, please contact your Harbour Consultative Group representative with any potential issues you’d like discussed. The HRG meets on 21 March. We are supporting and using local businesses. This is a big one for Lyme and the Club so we’d appreciate your help. Please find Sally on secretary.lrscltd@gmail.com for direct contact.   ‘
