On Saturday, the Oppie Inters group got together for their first session on the water this season. They rigged quickly and waited to be released from the slipway. Not put off by the cold water or lack of wind, they made a course sailing round buoys and boats in the harbour. This was a novelty and very much enjoyed. Sarah and Dan led the group, with Beach and parent support. Getting the Optimists off and on the racks took a little extra time as they were lifted over boats wintering in the park. Those will be back on their moorings next week. The Beginners start shortly, sessions continue through the Summer. Both groups are fully subscribed for 2025.
