Thanks to the RNLI Crew after the Lyme Lunge 1 Jan 2022

The club was pleased to welcome the RNLI crew to the clubhouse following the Lyme Lunge. They are honorary members and had spent half an hour jumping the rolling waves to keep over 800 lungers safe in the water. The 2022 Lunge was amazingly well supported and estimates of over £4,000 raised for hospice and cancer charities will be exceeded after the final count. The crew were served homemade soups by Jo, mulled wine and other drinks by Jack and Ella, while the Rotary organisers of the Lunge kept the tab for them at the bar. Dave Law hosted the visitors, while he and Chris Joyner had been on standby to launch a patrol Rib if required. Lyme Regis LOM Nick Marks, A sailing member, attended with his wife Anne.
Club members supported the Rotary charities and enjoyed soup and drinks. Thanks to all the organisers and those who contributed.
