Hi there Cruisies
Saturday 11th March is the Fit Out Supper. The evening will be a Wild West fancy dress Theme, so dig out your western style clothes, stetson’s, cowboy boots, mocassins if you prefer to be a red Indian, feathers, tomahawks, and even bring your horse, but it would have to be tied up on the railings. There will be a plentiful supply of hay and water for the horses.
I assume Fit meant that once upon a time we were, Out meant that as Cruisies, we are never Out Out, and supper was because we don’t do late dinners?
There will be a themed ‘free’ quiz as part of the evening with a ‘free’ prize for the winning table 😊 I was struggling with the prize until I was in Tesco Axminster at the weekend and bumped into my old friend Kylie, and I took the opportunity to ask if she was busy on Saturday 11th March, at around 6.30pm. My face still hurts, but then she recognised me and said ‘oh Bruce, it’s been such a long time since we last met’, I decided that whilst I was ahead I would stick with being Bruce and Kylie jumped at the opportunity, but became slightly reticent when I said she would be the prize for the evening at the local sailing club. But she accepted in good spirit and so on Saturday evening Kylie will reside at the winning quiz table from about 8pm
Cowboy food will be available, see menu below.
Menu:
Just confirming the menu options for the fitting out supper Price £15 per head Cloths on tables, candles, flowers and Kylie table snacks – salsa, sour cream and tortilla chips
Saturday 11th March
choice of two mains ; Local sausages, homemade “Cowboy” beans with spiced potato wedges ( Veggie option available) Cajun Chicken breast, corn on the cob, spiced rice and salad garnish Choice of two desserts; Homemade, Blueberry cheesecake or Apple pie and whipped cream
See you all there for a night of good humour
