Bonfire Night at the club – Thank yous!

Firstly, thanks from Regatta and Carnival Committee for the amazing amount we collected in our bucket for the fireworks. Two or three rounds of the clubhouse plus an hour on the road outside, very generous donations totalled over £200. A brilliant contribution from the club!
Secondly, a special thanks from the Parsons family, to all who supported Isla at the cake sale for the RNLI. Sarah writes: > ‘Please can you pass on thanks to the club. Isla raised £70 for the RNLI for her civic award which she will be taking to them hopefully next weekend. She was really pleased that she sold out! ‘ >

> I hear that Loraine’s team cooking ‘dirty dogs’ raised £150 for the Sea School, with enough to cover table decorations for the Dinner and prizegiving.
There were crowds at the club, members from across the age-range enjoying a family social evening and the brilliant fireworks display. Firework displays locally were cancelled, a little traffic congestion here for a while, but it was a very friendly atmosphere.
