A week of Youth activity!

The youth training sessions on 15 and 19 June saw all of our youth groups – Race, Tues, Simon, Oppies – all active and enjoying the water. Mostly light winds, so capsizing practice with Jim and Jack on Tuesday. That followed from a rather hectic launching session, the slipway still in use by the film crew vehicles, an added hurdle which was unexpected.

We got on the water, took longer to rig than usual, Jeremy helped Jane and Jim briefed his group. E/H were brilliant helping Ints launch with Ella under crowded conditions. Jack called all his together at the Cardinal.

The keen racers from Jerry’s Race Group got together at lunchtime with Graham and he did a session on RRS, Port and Starboard, before some joined him for the club race in the afternoon.

We do have a vibrant Youth section but although I keep getting enquiries, we are completely full for 2021. We hope things will be easier for us all next season.
